This month I had the honor of painting the portrait of a very important member of our local Police Department. Balor was named "Officer K9 of the Year" at the 2026 Rotary Club of Fort Myers South Law and Order Ball. Grateful for the opportunity and to our officers who work hard and sacrifice to keep our lovely community safe. This painting is called, "Act of Balor".

Lately I'm focusing on my transition towards painting wildlife subjects, and animals.. and basically anything that excites me about expanding my horizons! Keep an eye out for new works in progress by following me on Instagram and Facebook.

With the completion of very new artwork, whether it is a commission or passion project, comes a new lens. While I am not surprised to find that I adore painting animals, I am surprised that I am only now beginning this part of my journey. Abstract and botanical paintings are where my roots with painting began, nearly ten years ago. To see how far I've come, and the ceilings I continue to break through only inspires me to keep pushing my boundaries further.

2025 entailed the experimentation with a variety of subjects and styles I didn't anticipate! From portraits and pet portraits to wildlife and a new approach to abstract art - I'll be honest I'm a little all over the board... lol. I had the lovely opportunity to design an original work for a local art collector's home! This piece took me back to my origins - abstraction. This painting echoes the juxtaposing color palette of warm and cool tones to correspond with the client's decor.

Liberating myself from the rigidity of my own expectations through an expressive abstract piece. Intended to resemble refracted sunlight from under the water's surface, this piece signifies a new direction. High chroma brush strokes, raw and unrefined.
